Morning Sickness Be GONE & Ginger Tea Recipe

Pregnancy is a whirlwind adventure. As your mind and spirit get ready for a new life and family member, your body is in full tilt. Most women get morning sickness. Hopefully it isn’t too severe and doesn’t last until delivery.

Acupuncture is a great ally during pregnancy. It is very safe, and pharmaceutical free. It will help with your main complaint, like morning sickness, and will most likely also help you feel more relaxed, sleep and digest better, and ease that back pain.

For morning sickness, there are some commonly used acupuncture points on the wrists that do wonders for moms-to-be. Come in once or twice a week for an acupuncture nap and wake up feeling refreshed and ready for a nice meal.

Bonus Recipe:

Fresh Ginger Tea for Digestion

Making ginger tea is really easy and just smelling it “cook” in your giant mug may help relieve your nausea.

Go to your favorite locally owned health food store, like the Basil Bandwagon here in Flemington. Buy some of their delicious, fresh produce and don’t forget the fresh ginger.

Go home and grab your favorite, giant mug. Peel and grate the ginger, about 2 teaspoons per giant mug. Boil water and ginger for 10 to 20 minutes. The longer the boil, the more tangy the tea. Add some sweetener if you are into sweetness. Try honey or raw sugar. Add some lime juice if you are adventurous.

Drink it warm.

ENJOY!
