Microneedling image for rosacea

Microneedling effectively reduces acne scars, rosacea related erythema and telangiectasia, fine lines, wrinkles, improves skin texture and color, encourages hair growth and dramatically enhances effectiveness of skincare products. Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that renews regenerates and strengthens skin. The microneedling pen is used along with a onetime use, detachable tip with 16 tiny sterile needles to create controlled micro injuries in your skin called microchannels.

These microchannels create a pathway for skin nourishing serums to penetrate to the dermis (2nd layer of skin), creating the stimulation of your body’s immune response and collagen/elastin production. These minimally invasive, non-surgical treatments are among the most in-demand skin treatments on the market today and are only mildly uncomfortable. As collagen levels continue to build up, your skin becomes more luminous and your complexion more even.

You can choose to add full body acupuncture to your microneedling session to include a deeper healing experience. Combining the full body wellness of acupuncture with the modern technology of microneedling will enhance your health and beauty from the inside out. Body acupuncture can address the internal causes of imbalances, to help your body function as well as possible and help you feel your best.  Relaxing, restorative acupuncture treatments can be combined with microneedling, or you can choose to have a microneedling session only. Microneedling requires 4-6 treatments over 4-6 months to see benefits that can last for years.

What to Expect from a Microneedling Treatment:

Before Treatment: If desired, topical anesthetic is applied before treatment to provide light numbing. This is an optional choice.

Gentle Treatment: Organic, vegan serum prepared for your skins individual needs will be applied. Microneedling is then used to create controlled microchannels, eliciting your body’s healing response. This will remodel and rejuvenate your skin to provide a younger, more firm and radiant appearance. The microneedling session itself may take about 15 minutes, depending on what areas we are treating. We will finish your treatment with 30 minute Low Level Light Therapy.

Post Treatment: Following treatment your skin may appear pink or slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn. This typically disappears after 24hrs. Plan on a rest day after your microneedling treatment. After 24 hours, the redness and sensitivity will decline until it is no longer present. In the first week prior, flaking may occur in a small number of people. You will receive a patient aftercare kit to accelerate your recovery and results.

Results are sometimes apparent after one treatment and will improve over a series of 3-6 monthly treatments. Results will continue to progress for several months after your last treatment. Results can last up to many years. Some people get a touch up treatment on a yearly or bi-yearly basis. Nanoneedling can also be used in-between treatments.
