People’s Medicine: Herbal Series

Amanda Crooke, of Locust Light Farm, and our very own Nicole Maniez, of Jersey Community Acupuncture will host a series of workshops to share useful herbal insights and practices for the community. The program will inspire you to start using simple, easy-to-find plants for health and wellbeing. You will learn about herbal allies from both a western and eastern viewpoint, empowering you to incorporate new practices into your everyday lives. This series will include lectures, storytelling, hands on creation of herbal products, creative expression, meditation and healing practices. We will build community with each other and with plants.

The workshop spans four Thursdays, all 7-9pm at Flemington DIY, each session focusing on a different plant:

  • June 30 – Rose
  • August 4 – Chamomile
  • September 29 – Nettles
  • October 6 – Rosemary

Overview:

  • simple and safe uses for herbs
  • foraging basics
  • how to incorporate herbs into daily routines
  • healing practices for a deeper connection to our natural world.
